A 77 year old mani stone carver in action, upper Pangboche, Khumbu, Nepal. Tibetan Buddhists believe that those who place these mani stones on trails and passes gain everlasting merit. Those who pass them in a clockwise direction while travelling also gain merit / Nikon F801S, Fuji Velvia slide film, settings not recorded
