White-capped Albatross with a chunk of burley it’s snatched in choppy sea conditions. Albatross rarely plunge or dive for food and mainly eat fish, squid, krill and offal from fishing vessels or taken from the surface. Native to New Zealand with a conservation status declining. Pelagic trip on board Seafarer ll organised by BirdsNZ Wellington.
