Variable Oystercatchers

Variable Oystercatchers

This pair of Variable Oystercatchers were settling down for a rest on a rock at high tide in Waihau Bay, Eastern Bay of Plenty. I love their bright orange beaks that contrasts well with their jet black plumage. This photo was taken on my Olympus E-M1 MkII camera with the Olympus 150-400 f4.5 telephoto lens. Camera settings were ISO 800, f4.5, 1/640s
