If you look closely this Tui’s beak is sprinkled with blue pollen from native Fuchsia or Kotukutuku flowers. NZ Tree Fuchsia are one of the largest Fuchsia plants in the world growing up to 12 metres in damp Forest, forming a trunk to a metre in diameter - attract nectar feeding birds like Tui, Bellbirds and Silvereyes when in flower.
