Tui Kākā Beak
Not the greatest quality but after a week of watching, finally got two shots of Mr Tui in my Kākā Beak hunting nectar amongst its flowers. He brought his girlfriend over today but she stuck to foraging on the last few Kōwhai flowers that survived the Gales last Great to finally have some native plants mature to support nectar feeding birds in my garden. The Harakeke doesn’t look like it’s going to flower as only planted during lockdown. 1/2000 iso 3000 cropped.
