Royal Spoonbills or Kotuku Ngutupapa

This was my first visit out to the Pauatahanui inlet in search of Spoonbills. I was lucky enough to sight a bowl of 11 gathered at low tide. This image shot with my 70-200mm 2.8 but is significantly cropped - the deep mud there is a challenge to walk in and on this occasion up to my knees.
