Rotomahana Ferry

Lake Rotomahana was transformed as part of the Mt Tarawera volcanic eruption in 1886. The pink and white terraces, one of the natural wonders of the world were destroyed and disappeared as a result. The Waimangu Thermal Valley walk allows you to trek through an area created in the not to distant past but also over a millions of years. Steaming vents, geysers, sulphur and mud pools await around each bend. Take a trip around the lake and learn fascinating facts onboard the Ariki Moana.\n\nCanon 5dmkiv\n135mm; f10; 1/30th sec; ISO100

The greatest gift is the present. I’m a photographer who enjoys getting out and about when I can and have a passion for motorsport and landscape photography. I especially enjoy photographing movement.
