Reach for the sky

Reach for the sky

Have you ever noticed how so often we overlook those things we see everyday? Or if we do notice them, we consider they are boring simply because we see them every day? Queen Anne's Lace or wild carrot is a perfect example of this. We'll all have seen them, apparently reaching for the sky, but we'll probably also have dismissed them because they're white and boring. And anyway, aren't they just a weed? But if you ever stop and take the time just to look at those flowers you'll discover delicacy and intricacy and such understated beauty.

I take photographs because that is what I love to do, but I hope that through my photographs I can share a small part of that understated beauty with others.
