The New Zealand Pukeko or Swamp Hen are found in swamps, streams or lagoons. Primarily vegetarian foraging for the stems, shoots, leaves and seeds of grasses - the bill is used to cut, rip or dig up plants and are considered to be an agricultural or garden pest. 70-200mm cropped.
