Lunar Rainbow over Victoria Falls
The Victoria Falls on the Zambezi River is one of the great wonders of the world. The roar of the waterfall can be almost deafening, and the mist that constantly rises can be so dense that it condenses and falls again as rain! One feature of the mist, is that depending on where you are standing in relationship to the falls and the sun, you can get beautiful and intense rainbows. However, when the moon is full and the sky is clear, you can even get a Lunar Rainbow. I was privileged to be there at the right time in June 2018 to witness and photograph the Lunar Rainbow. This photo was taken from just below the falls
