Kaituna River

Kaituna River

Lakes Rotorua and Rotoiti feed the Kaituna River, which works its way to the Pacific Ocean near Te Puke. The Okere Falls are the first in the upper reach of the river with two more nearby. A hydro power station, the first in NZ operated, between 1901-1936 and remnants are seen at the bottom of the photograph. The river is used by a local rafting company and has the highest commercially rated waterfall in the world.\nCanon 5d/47mm/f10/8th sec/ISO200

The greatest gift is the present. I’m a photographer who enjoys getting out and about when I can and have a passion for motorsport and landscape photography. I especially enjoy photographing movement.
