Kahu - Swamp Harrier

Kahu - Swamp Harrier

The Kahu or Swamp Harrier is New Zealand's largest bird of prey. It is relatively common throughout New Zealand and some of our off-shore islands. It is an opportunistic predator and will attack and kill young birds and small mammals, but more commonly it feeds on carrion such as dead possums, rabbits, lambs etc
