Garden Festival NP

This was photographed using my mobile phone at a private garden in New Plymouth as part of the Fringe Festival of sustainable gardens. The owners were retired and knowledgeable. There was no lawn, but a variety of fruit and veges, bee hives and glass-houses on a small flat plot of land... very productive and everything grown organically (without pesticides/insecticides). This banana tree was planted less than 4 years previous! Impressive!
