Daybreak on Mount Taranaki

Canon DSLR full frame body and 16-35mm f4 at 20mm. To control the tonal range in the image, I used a 3-stop hard edge graduated neutral density filter. To saturate the colours, I used a B & W brand circular polarising filter. Exposure was 2.5 seconds at f22, so a tripod was needed as was getting out of bed at 5 am to walk to this spot from Pouakai Hut to be ready before the sun came up
