A certain gentleman

A certain gentleman

This picture's title is a nod to the poem "Magpies" by Australian poet Judith Wright, in which she presents magpies as certain gentlemen, hands in pockets, heads tilted, strolling and talking. This particular gentleman, out for his morning walk, has paused momentarily to cast a disgruntled glance my way.
