Total horror

The direction sign at the base of the climb on the western side of Baton Saddle, Kahurangi National Park. Some knowing soul had carved ‘horror’ onto the sign. Another had penned ‘total’. It was an apt warning as we commenced our ascent through wasp nests, stinging nettle and steep, slippery boulders / Nikon P7800, F3.2, 1/60, ISO 400, 46mm / Winner, mountain and climbing culture category, NZAC national competition 2019\n
