Reef Heron

Gone Fishing: I watched this Allusive Reef Heron or Matuku Moana fishing in the rock pools at low tide for at least an hour. They are Native to New Zealand. According to NZ Birds they have a conservation status of Nationally endangered with only 300-500 birds in New Zealand remaining.
