Kererū

Kererū

An unusual perspective as this Native Kererū had nestled at the very top of this Kōwhai tree after nibbling on it’s sweetest leaves. During Winter when there are few or no berries; leaves and shoots provide sustenance to Kererū. There was just a hint of sunlight caressing it’s beak before the sun disappeared below the horizon for the evening.
