Jurassic Park

Orbell and Nio were busy foraging and ripping up the Takahe lawn at Zealandia yesterday with their strong toes ending in claws reminiscent of Jurassic Park. In their natural habitat Takahe eat the bases of Tussock and the rhizomes of ferns but at Zealandia Ecosanctuary have taken to eating introduced grasses and clip the grasses around their wetland area.
