This is an old picture. Back in 2007, after I bought my first DSLR, a Canon 300D, this it's first picture that I was really pleased with. The boat was moored in Otago Harbour and I drove past it on many days. Then on one occasion the water was flat and still and I got the shot I knew was hiding there waiting for me. I used a Canon 300D (6 mp sensor iso range: 100-1600) and an ancient Canon 70-210 zoom lens. (1/800, f11, iso400) I have much better gear now, but are my photos correspondingly better?
